git.
Jeff Garzik posted a handy git how-to to linux-kernel yesterday. Good to see I'm not the only person with an aversion to using cogito.

So, hopefully we're finally done with the Fedora Core 4 kernel. (The final build is chugging away in another window right now).
We got most of the rough edges squared away, leaving just a handful of corner cases that can get fixed up in an update.
(The first update will likely happen right after 2.6.12 goes final, unless its preempted by security issues).

For anyone reading tomorrows rawhide reports, cvs commits, or kernel-2.6.spec from some other source, and are wondering about the last-minute changes to the pwc driver, Linus' commit message here should hopefully make things a lot clearer.

I'm looking forward to working on FC5 already. There's some really interesting projects in the pipeline, which should make it a lot of fun to work on. We're carrying a few more patches than usual in FC4, but a majority are either pending inclusion upstream already, or are destined to go there soon after 2.6.12 is released).

Oh, and for the curious - FC3 will eventually also get a 2.6.12 kernel after its release. Maintaining 3 Fedora trees on different base levels isn't fun.

11PM on a Friday night before memorial weekend is obviously the best possible time to break a tooth. Hrmph.
Whilst eating _sushi_ of all things. The mind boggles.
