More on the Neuros OSD
Been a while since I've really used the OSD at all. I've not used it for recording TV much, as the quality (even at high quality setting) doesn't seem particularly great. Periodically, I upgrade it's firmware, which brings fancier menus, and some nice new features like network browsing, or more recently, a youtube browser.

I've been mostly just using it for playing back videos recorded by other means from an NFS share recently.
It chokes on some videos, but copes with most stuff I throw at it. It also functions as a handy ogg player in the bedroom.

Asides from the poor video encoding, and having to wave the remote around at funny angles before it registers a keypress, it hasn't been too bad. The only other quirks I've encountered seem to have been cosmetic, including the amusing progress bar seen when updating todays firmware. After 117, it went back to 100, and then rebooted. Seems to be ok.
